(4) Keeping the Lost in Focus
This is really intertwined with reason three (Post: Shifting from Consumer to Commissioned) but instead of focusing on you (the person reading this), the impetus is placed on those that aren’t reading this (yet).
It’s been said like this before: Christian communities are the only organizations in the world that are explicitly designed to serve non-members. I like that.
Well, I like the way that sounds, it is much harder to live out!

(3) Shifting from Consumer to Commissioned
In the context of the early Church, all disciples helped make other disciples. In other words, there wasn’t a framework that someone could receive grace and accept the Gospel and then not share it with others.
Inherently, our faith is about transformation and participation.
Action. Engagement.

I firmly believe that health, holiness, and wholeness are intrinsically connected.
I also love how God is not surprised by my limits and needs. In fact, I tend to be the only caught off guard!
It’s one of the reasons I enjoy talking about the following things on campus, because they’re both ‘felt needs’ and also, close to the heart of God
